Research show the most critical time in a child's development is from
birth through age five. The Music Playhouse program is specifically
designed to engage children of these ages, so that the children's
likelihood of strong musical ability in the future is increased.
The Music Playhouse materials are designed to stimulate young minds.
They include a wide variety of musical scales, rhythms, instruments and
styles. This broad exposure to many types of music helps lay the
foundation to better understand and interpret many kinds of music.

The Music Playhouse classes feature:
- Instruments
that are carefully selected for age-appropriateness for young children.
They include bells, egg shakers, drums, triangles and rhythm sticks.
- Mixed age
classes. Activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than
child/child interaction, so that children of different ages (such as
siblings) can enjoy class together.
- The materials
change each season. With each enrollment in a new session (Fall,
Winter, Spring, Summer) you receive a new materials set (CD &
songbook).
