While attending beginning yoga classes one learns the basics and then advances to “intermediate” or “all level” sessions. Until a student reaches master level, there is little variation in the poses or asana. Be aware that flexibility and ability to achieve a pose are not important. With practice of proper alignment and positioning, one will realize great benefit and enjoyment. Flexibility and strength come with practice. To get the most from yoga classes, one needs to attend at least once a week.
Yoga leads to a healthy lifestyle. Yoga keeps us young and strong. If you don’t like strenuous exercise and would like to try a gentle, relaxing, and fun exercise with far greater benefits, please come join us.
A yoga mat is useful for class but not necessary. Please bring a towel and a small blanket. Do not eat 2 hours before class. If you must eat, eat very lightly.

I decided to learn and practice yoga was so that I could be a better Mother. Before becoming a Mother I enjoyed rollerblading 20 miles a day and swimming 2 miles a day, along weight training, which was helpful in helping me have mental and physical balance. This took much time and I needed something that could make me have balance while I didn’t have the time to exercise as much as I had in the past. I found satisfaction in practicing yoga and many other benefits. I am a more patient and effective Mother now that I practice yoga to balance my mind and body.
